I captured the moth as she fluttered around
A couple of times I touched the ground
I touched the ground, I touched the ground
A couple of times I touched the ground
She flittered and she fluttered and she flew into the closet
I scampered after but I could hardly stop it
And underneath the lamp I swiped and caught her in my fingers
I might have crushed her but she flew on uninjured
I captured the moth as she fluttered around
A couple of times I touched the ground
I touched the ground, I touched the ground
A couple of times I touched the ground
And over by the window she was dancing in the breeze
I cupped my fingers and I tumbled to my knees
I didn't feel her but I didn't see her flying
I stood up slow and to the back door I went walking
I thought when my hand opened I would see only my palm
But as I reached the doorknob I knew that I was wrong
Onto the back porch and at last I let her go
You're always welcome to come visit me, you know
I saved the moth
It took awhile
I saved the moth
I can smile
I saved the moth
I saved the moth
The moth, the moth, the moth
And It took awhile
I captured the moth
In my hands
I saved the moth
The moth, the moth, the moth, the moth
And it took awhile, and it took awhile

Sums
A cooperative game for 2 players.
Setup
At the start of the game, take out as many cards as desired from the deck, shuffle it, and then split it in half, and give the resulting decks to each player face down.
Each player may then draw a hand of three cards.
Gameplay
Each player has custody of a stack of cards in the center which they play cards to. After a card is added, the sum of the stack should be announced. Face cards are valued as J=11, Q=12, K=13, A=14 or 1. The value of the ace is fluid and can be treated as either value as convenience dictates. The announced value of an ace, however, is 1.
If at any point a player plays a card such that the sums of the center stacks are equal, both players take their center stack and place it to the left of their deck and any other stacks they have taken in this manner. After this, the player who made the stacks equal plays the next card.
On a player’s turn, they may either play a card from their hand or a card from a stack to the left of their deck. If they play a card from a stack, the rest of the stack must be put into a discard pile to the right of their deck.
If at the end of a turn a player has only 2 cards, they should draw a third.
To win, both players must have no deck, no hand, and no center stack at the same time.
Discussing the contents of your hand or in any way communicating with your partner about strategy is prohibited.
Strategy
While it is possible to win by playing only cards from your hands, it will practically never happen - the most effective way to win is to have at least one player have a good and comprehensive set of stacks with a variety of top card values. This is why taking cards out of the deck directly increases the difficulty - you have less time to build up a varied toolbox.
It is often very rewarding to finish a stack with an ace because of the flexibility it will provide as a playable card in the future.
Often one player’s stack will have a value that far exceeds the other. There isn’t much to be done about this other than playing the lowest/highest cards you can until they get back in sync, but if this goes on for too long it may be a good idea to play cards from stacks if it looks helpful.
Near the end of the game, when one or both players have few cards remaining in their hands, players should consider their partner’s possible plays based on the stacks they have acquired.
